Power Restored to Thousands of Cheshire Residents

A fallen tree knocked out power to more than 2,000 Eversource customers Tuesday.

CHESHIRE, CT — A fallen tree knocked out power to more than 2,100 Eversource utility customers in Cheshire on Tuesday morning, reports NBC Connecticut News.

The outage started at about 10:22 a.m., but power was restored less than an hour later, according to an Eversource spokesperson.

Customers along Route 10 near South Main Street and Higgins Road were affected, writes the Meriden Record-Journal. Minor traffic delays were reported in the area for part of the morning.
