Two Men Killed in Cheshire Shooting (Updated)

Police are on the scene on Cornwall Avenue.

Cheshire police remained on the scene late Tuesday night investigating the shooting deaths of two people that occurred at about 4 p.m.

The Hartford Courant reports that two men were killed in the shooting inside a Cornwall Avenue home, but police were not releasing the exact address of the home because they were working on notifying family members of the dead.

Neighbors told Luther Turmelle of the New Haven Register that a family of six lives in the house where the shooting occurred.

Cheshire police told WTNH that the scene is contained to the home, and there is no danger to residents in the surrounding neighborhood.

Cheshire police are investigating a shooting on Cornwall Avenue in which two people were killed, according to the Hartford Courant.

The Courant reports that two people were found dead in the home, which is in the 700 block of Cornwall Avenue.

WTNH.com reports that police are asking people to avoid the area near Cornwall Avenue. Police are on the scene near Doolittle Elementary School.
