Residents To Vote On $166M School Project In Cheshire

Cheshire's proposed $166 million school modernization project is heading to a referendum vote.

CHESHIRE, CT — Residents will decide the future of the town’s long-awaited $166 million school modernization project in a referendum vote this November, according to the Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports the Town Council unanimously approved sending the project to the voters at a special meeting this week.

If voters approve the plan, two new elementary schools are slated for construction in the first phase of the project.
