Road Closures Announced In Cheshire
Police announce several road closures that will take place due to a half marathon on Sunday morning.

CHESHIRE, CT —Cheshire Police have announced several road closures that will take place on Sunday, April 29, morning as the town hosts a half marathon. Police say the event requires a significant number of roads in the south end of town (Cheshire High School to the Hamden town line) to be closed completely.
Any road that crosses the linear park will be impacted and detours will be in place, according to police. Additionally, the race requires Route 10 to close in both directions for approximately 20 minutes at the start of the race. Police said in a post on Facebook that the closures will start around 9 a.m. and “will fluctuate with the race- we make every effort to open closures as soon as possible.”
“Please follow the detour signs, cooperate with Police Officers and volunteers, be careful of the runners, and be patient,” police said.
