Scam Warning Involving Cheshire Schools Issued

Officials are warning residents of a new scam that has been reported in Cheshire.

CHESHIRE, CT — Officials are warning residents of a scam in which local businesses are receiving calls from someone claiming to be a project coordinator at Cheshire High School. The caller is soliciting credit card donations and says that for $300 they can place an advertisement on football jerseys.

The call is coming from a Euless, Texas phone number (682-292-9292). In some instances, Cheshire High School is displayed on the caller ID but it is definitely a scam.
