Scam Warning Issued In Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire Senior Center is warning residents of a phone scam.

“We received a report of automated calls with the Caller ID reading ‘Town of Cheshire’ requesting Social Security numbers,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “This call is not coming from the Senior Center. Never give your Social Security number over the telephone.”
