Sections Of Route 10 To Be Closed For Next Two Weeks In Cheshire

A Connecticut Department of Transportation milling and resurfacing project means drivers will experience lane closures on a nightly basis.

CHESHIRE, CT — A Connecticut Department of Transportation milling and resurfacing project will close a portion of Route 10 beginning Monday as drivers will experience lane closures for more than two weeks. The Department of Transportation will be working on a 1.39-mile section of the highway from Hamden Town Line to .10 mile of Kings Road. Work is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m., starting Monday and finishing May 6.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be used to guide motorists through lane closures. DOT asks drivers to maintain a safe speed when passing through. The DOT also said the projected schedule may be modified or extended in the case of weather delays or other unforeseen circumstances.
