Serious Injury Reported In Crash On I-84 In Cheshire

Three people were hospitalized with injuries in the early morning crash, according to Connecticut State Police.

CHESHIRE, CT — Three people were hospitalized with injuries, including one with a suspected serious injury, after a tractor-trailer rear-ended a Nissan Altima in an early Thursday morning crash on I-84 in Cheshire, according to Connecticut State Police.

The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. near Exit 26 on I-84 West in Cheshire when the tractor-trailer collided with the rear of the Nissan Altima for an unknown reason, police said. (To sign up for Cheshire breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

All of the occupants of the Altima were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries. Rashaad Emory, 38, and Stacy Dort, 24, sustained minor injuries while Takara Kaczowski, 32, sustained a suspected serious injury, according to police.
