She ‘Endlessly Works Hard’ For Special Needs Community: Cheshire Star Student
We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who is having an impact in Cheshire.

CHESHIRE, CT — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Barbara Costello, who nominated Molly of Cheshire.
How do you know the star local student?
She volunteers at the Therapeutic Recreation programs I offer. (for special needs students)
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Molly endlessly works hard to provide the special needs community with inclusive activities and feel welcome in the school community. She visits the TR camp on her off days from work, just to say hi to the campers. She is planning a dance for the high school teens to have a special event just for them and their friends. I invited her to a TR Handbell concerts and she brings her whole family to cheer on the performers. I know she invited these kids over to hang out at her house, making them feel so special and are her true friends. She is just such a thoughtful, caring young lady, she amazes me.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Molly is a true friend to the special needs teens in town. She advocates for their needs at the school and chooses to spend her time with them. Her friendship has had such a positive impact on these teens, I see this group of kids more confident, happy, and included than ever.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Molly!
