Sidewalk Improvement Project Under Way in Cheshire
The project is expected to last several months.

Cheshire, CT — A sidewalk improvement project is under way and is expected to last several months, according to Cheshire Police.
The project to construct and improve sidewalks on the north side of West Main Street, between Grove Street and Maple Avenue, will consist of approximately 1,600 feet of new sidewalk as well as a 4-foot high retaining wall on the westerly end of the project.
The project is expected to take several months and traffic control will be handled by the police department.

“We fully recognize the large volume of traffic utilizing these roads on a daily basis, and every effort is being made to minimize the impact to businesses, residents, and the motoring public,” police said in a press release. “It should be noted that motorists may experience delays and or detours during the project.”
