instruction in music theory, sight singing, and ear training within the context
of 25 auditioned choral ensembles, which together comprise the various divisions
of the United Girls’ Choir and Elm City Girls’ Choir. The School's mission is to foster a deep
commitment to the realization of personal and artistic potential and to
cultivate an environment that engenders cooperation, creativity, self-discipline, and, above all, an earnest respect for all people. The United Girls’ Choir operates ensembles based in Branford, Cheshire, Clinton, Hamden,
Killingworth, Madison, Milford, North Haven and Shelton, and is currently in
the process of establishing additional chapters in communities throughout the
state.
