Storm Debris Dropoff Scheduled In Cheshire

Cheshire residents can drop off branches from Sunday's storm at the former transfer station later this week, according to officials.

CHESHIRE, CT — The Town of Cheshire will open the former transfer station at 1304 Waterbury Road (Route 70) for Cheshire residents to drop off branches generated from the wind and rain that occurred on Sunday, June 23, officials announced Monday.

Brush can be dropped off at the facility on Thursday, June 27, and Friday, June 28, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon.

“Please note that NO logs or stumps will be accepted,” officials wrote in a news release. “Diameter of branches must be 8” or less. NO contractors or landscapers will be allowed. Proof of residency may be required.”
