Strawberry Festival on Cheshire Green, Dinosaur Footprints to Take Home

The weekend is full of events that don't cost a thing.

The best strawberry shortcake of the season will be whipped up Saturday at the First Congregational Church’s 74th annual strawberry festival, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on Cheshire’s Green.  A petting zoo, pony rides and a magician will offer families plenty of fun activities. Come chat with your neighbors, enjoy the late spring weather and listen to some good music.

While you're on the green on Saturday, stroll over to the 40th Annual Cheshire Historical Society Antiques and Collectibles Sale. Dealers from around the region will participate from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Click here for more information.

Also on Saturday, visitors were get free admission to Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill. It's the only park around where folks can make a cast of a dinosaur footprint! Take it home as a souvenir of your visit  Get full details on their website.
