On October 5, The Sunshine Kids will be hosting the third annual "Sunshine Riders"motorcycle ride and family day starting in Cheshire. This wonderful event will feature a scenic ride beginning in Cheshire and will tour Connecticut's beautiful vista's arriving at Quassapaug Amusement Park to enjoy a luncheon with family and friend. This ride is unique in that the Sunshine Kids are able to be a passenger in an adventure they otherwise would never experience.
The Sunshine Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer. Established in 1982, the foundation is committed to providing positive group activities and emotional support for young caner patients. The Sunshine kids provides a variety of programs and events, free of charge, for children receiving cancer treatments in hospitals across North America.
Motorcycle ride registration begins at 9:30 am with the ride starting at 11 am.
The ride concludes at Quassapaug. There will be food, music and raffles. Admission for the motorcycle ride is $25.00 for riders and $15.00 for passengers.
