(UPDATED) Cheshire Residents Safe Following Boston Explosions

Five Cheshire residents took part in Monday's race and are said to be OK. The names of those injured have not been released as an investigation continues.

Three people are dead and around another hundred reported injured following a series of explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon around 3 p.m. Monday.

Those are the latest figures from this breaking news story. Dozens of news outlets, including Back Bay Patch, are reporting live from the scene of this tragedy.

The Boston Marathon's official website states there were five Cheshire residents who were registered for the race, with three running and finishing. They are said to all be OK, although none could immediately be reached for comment Monday afternoon.

Names of those injured have not yet been released.
