Update: One Dead in I-691 East Crash in Cheshire, Highway Closed
The accident occurred between Exits 3 and 4.

Update 11 p.m.:
State police have identified the victim in Monday’s multi-car crash as Eugene Tourangeau, 65, of Waterbury, according to multiple reports. Tourangeau was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cheshire Citizen reports that three vehicles were involved in the crash and Marcy Hall, 51, of Hamden, and Allan Greenier, 60, of New Haven, were injured in the accident and taken to the hospital.

A two-vehicle accident has closed I-691 East in Cheshire between Exits 3 and 4, according to the state DOT.
NBC Connecticut is reporting that a serious crash took place with serious injuries, but no further information was available as of 5 p.m.
The accident was reported around 4 p.m. and the duration of the delay could be up to four hours, according to the DOT website.
