Cheshire’s Johnny Gaudio and Clare French, along with a group of their friends, arrived at their junior prom in style, courtesy of Wayback Burgers.

Wayback Burgers provided the limo ride, milkshakes and house-made chips for the students in response to the way Gaudi asked French to the prom.

Gaudio and French were at Wayback Burgers of Cheshire on April 8 for a fundraising event benefitting the local YMCA’s Swim Team, which French is a part of.

Gaudio arranged with the restaurant’s team members in advance to precut onion rings to spell out “PROM.”

Lo and behold, French said yes.

To make the moment extra special, and to thank Gaudio and French for making them part of the question, Wayback Burgers provided a limo for the couple and eight friends so that they could ride in style to the Cheshire High School Junior prom at La Bella Vista in Waterbury.

In addition to the limo, the students stopped by Wayback Burgers of Cheshire to pick up complimentary milkshakes and house-made chips for the ride.

“We loved the extra mile that Johnny went to in order to make his prom proposal one to remember, and the fact that he included us in their moment, so the Wayback Burgers team wanted to help make their night even more special,” said Gillian Maffeo, director of marketing, Wayback Burgers. “What better way for us to do this then to have them arrive in style! We thought it would be a fun gesture to add to what was sure to be a night for them to remember.”
