West Haven Police Deploy Taser, Arrest Man Wanted By Cheshire Police
The man, who was wanted on a domestic violence-related warrant, ran from police and threw pieces of broken fence at the officer.

West Haven police apprehended a man wanted in Cheshire on a domestic violence-related warrant, but not before the suspect engaged an officer in pursuit and was finally subdued by a Taser.
A West Haven police officer observed William Finnegan, 29, of George Street in West Haven, in the area of 655 Campbell Avenue. Police said the officer knew that the Cheshire Police Department was aggressively looking for Finnegan, coming to West Haven several times over the past week in search of him for a domestic violence related warrant.
The officer ordered Finnegan to stop but he engaged him in a foot pursuit over several fences and through several yards with Finnegan throwing pieces of broken fence at the officer as he was being chased, according to police.

Finnegan was finally subdued by the deployment of the officer’s Taser.
Finnegan was charged with interfering with a police officer and released to the custody of Cheshire Police.
