Whole Foods Officially Opens New Store In Cheshire
The popular supermarket chain celebrated the grand opening with special giveaways to the first 300 customers in line.
CHESHIRE, CT — Whole Foods Market officially opened its new 42,000-square-foot store at The Shops at Stonebridge development in Cheshire on Thursday.
People were lining up as early as 5 a.m. in the freezing cold, according to the New Haven Register. The store, located at 1985 Highland Ave., opened at 8 a.m.
The first 300 customers in line received a limited-edition Cheshire tote bag and a Secret Saver coupon featuring savings up to $100 off, company officials said of the grand opening event.

The Cheshire location’s product assortment features “more than 1,000 local items from New England, sourced with the help of John Lawson, Forager for Local & Emerging Brands at Whole Foods Market,” according to a news release announcing the opening.
"When I began my career with Whole Foods Market 15 years ago, one of the first things that drew me to the retailer was their commitment to local,” said Chad Radl, Store Team Leader for Whole Foods Market Cheshire. “Today, I'm excited to help open this new store filled with more than 1,000 products sourced from New England, all meeting our high quality standards. Our team looks forward to welcoming the Cheshire community!"
