Woman, 69, Wants Large Groups Off Cheshire Trail After Being Knocked Down: Report

The woman said she was knocked down by a member of the Cheshire High School girls' track team.

A 69-year-old woman says she suffered a lower back strain when she was knocked down by a member of the Cheshire High School girls’ track team while walking on the linear trail and she wants the town to keep large groups off the trail, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports Carol Skowronski sent a hand-written letter to the town with the request after she said she was injured while walking the trail Higgins Road and Cornwall Avenue.

Skowronski said she saw the team approaching her from behind and stepped aside to let the team pass but was slammed in the back by one of the girls, according to the Record-Journal.
