CLINTON, CT — State Rep. Chris Aniskovich said $2 million in state bonding for the Abraham Pierson School project has been placed on the State Bond Commission’s Sept. 8 agenda.
The funding still requires approval from the full commission, according to Aniskovich, R-Clinton.
“I’m very pleased to see this funding make it onto the Bond Commission agenda,” Aniskovich said in the release. “I was proud to advocate and fight for this project in Hartford, and I appreciate the State Bond Commission for including it on the agenda. There is still another step to go, but this is great news for Clinton.”

The proposed project would convert the historic school property into new affordable housing, including housing opportunities for seniors, according to the release. A portion of the project is also expected to provide space for senior activities and programs.
Aniskovich said the project could preserve part of Clinton’s history, create housing, provide space for seniors and return the property to the tax rolls.
