3 Injured, Including Trooper, In Clinton Crash

Three people were injured in an accident in Clinton on Sunday.

CLINTON, CT — Three people were hospitalized following a crash in Clinton on Sunday, according to police. Those injured in the accident included a Connecticut State Trooper.

Clinton police responded around 6 p.m. on Dec. 25 to a report of a crash at the intersection of West Main Street and Hull Street in Clinton. The crash involved a Connecticut State Police vehicle and another vehicle, with both occupants hospitalized with injuries, according to police.

The passenger of the vehicle suffered serious, life-threatening injuries, WTNH News-8 reported.

The state trooper was also taken to the hospital for medical treatment, according to police.

Clinton police personnel rendered aid to all involved and secured and maintained the scene, police said.

The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
