Affordable Housing Proposal Pitched In Clinton
A developer is seeking approval on an affordable housing application.
CLINTON, CT — A developer is seeking approval to construct an affordable housing development at 5 Liberty Place, according to plans filed with the town's Planning and Zoning Commission.
There is an existing apartment building on the site that has 24 units and Strawberry Hill Realty LLC is seeking approval to construct an additional 24-unit apartment building to the rear, which includes some affordable units.
The proposed building will be a two-story apartment building, proposing one (1) two-bedroom apartment and twenty three (23) one-bedroom apartments, according to plans filed with the town.

Eight of the one-bedroom units will be deed-restricted as affordable units pursuant to state law.
The proposal was on an agenda for the Feb. 9 meeting.
