Letter to the Editor: An Amazing 'Story' of Community Support in Clinton
A thank you letter to the community

To the Editor:
How do we even begin to express our gratitude? Clinton Boy Scout Troop 55 sponsored a pancake fundraiser on Sat. Jan. 16th for Janis Story at the Clinton VFD. The Story Family is one of our own Troop 55 Scouting families. Troop 55 was overwhelmed by the support we received from local businesses, groups, and individuals. So many people who couldn’t attend bought tickets in support and even more were able to join us for an amazing morning of fellowship.
We would first like to thank the CVFD and its members for allowing us to use the FD and for all their help on the day of the fundraiser. We would especially like to acknowledge the following businesses, groups, and individuals that graciously supported our fundraiser: Beach Donuts, Body Karma Studio, Chamard Vineyard, Chester’s BBQ, Chips Pub III, Chow Food & Beverage Co., Christo’s Jewelers, Clinton FD Auxiliary, Clinton Sport Shop, Coffee Break, Cohen’s Bagels, Corcoran Computer Services(Clinton), Doc’s Bar & Grill, Edible Arrangements(Madison), Fox Driving School, Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory, Grand Apizza, Grove Gardens, Mike Gortych, Haircutters II, Hanami Japanese Restaurant, Haywire Burger Bar, IslandApparel.com, Killingworth True Value Hardware, La Foresta Restaurant & Wine Bar, Lavender Pond Farm, Lenny & Joe’s Fish Tale, Log Cabin Restaurant, Malone’s Sandwich & Coffee House, McDonald’s(Clinton), Monroe Muffler(Clinton), NexGen Public Safety Solutions, Niko’s Ice Cream & Confectionary Co., Palmieri’s, Ann Pellegrini, Petco, Desiree Richardell, Kathy Roelofsen, Sage Card Crafters(Berlin), Sal D’s Dockside Grille, Saldamarco’s Italian Deli, Steward’s Ace Hardware, Steeped Tea(Arlene Carifa-Durham), Subway(Clinton), Taste of China, Town Pride, Westbrook Lobster, Zales Outlet.
