Swimming Temporarily Suspended At Clinton Town Beach After Elevated Bacteria Test

Swimming is temporarily suspended at Clinton Town Beach after testing found elevated bacteria levels following heavy rain.

CLINTON, CT — Swimming and other water activities are temporarily suspended at Clinton Town Beach after routine testing found bacteria levels above recommended limits, the health department said.

The department attributed the elevated levels primarily to recent heavy rain, which can increase stormwater runoff and temporarily affect water quality.
