CLINTON, CT — Swimming and other water activities are temporarily suspended at Clinton Town Beach after routine testing found bacteria levels above recommended limits, the health department said.
The department attributed the elevated levels primarily to recent heavy rain, which can increase stormwater runoff and temporarily affect water quality.
The beach remains open, and other amenities are available during normal operating hours. The health department said it will continue testing the water and provide an update when swimming can resume.
