The Mediums Play Clinton's Pierson Gazebo Aug. 6 — and the Concert Series Runs Through August

CLINTON, CT — A summer that has tested local concert planners with its share of soggy Thursday evenings is ending on an upbeat note: Clinton's 2026 Summer Concert Series has been extended through the end of August, giving residents three more free nights of live music at the Pierson Gazebo — and it all kicks off Thursday night with The Mediums.

The New Haven-based acoustic duo takes the stage Thursday, Aug. 6, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pierson Gazebo in the heart of Clinton. As always, admission is free. Bring a lawn chair, a blanket, and whomever you'd like to spend a summer evening with.

Don't let the word "acoustic duo" fool you into expecting something mellow. The Mediums — Frank and Tom — have been doing this for more than 20 years, logging upward of 2,000 performances and developing what their fans describe as a sound that evokes the energy and presence of a full live band without any of the extra gear. Frank handles lead vocals across a range that moves effortlessly from rock to pop to soul; Tom handles the arrangements, crafting versions of classic and contemporary hits that hit differently than the originals. As for the extended season: a handful of earlier concerts were washed out by rain this summer, and rather than let those acts disappear from the calendar, organizers rescheduled them into August. The result is a full month of Thursday evenings at the Pierson Gazebo:
