CLINTON, CT — The Clinton Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing Sept. 16 on two related matters involving a proposed garage addition on Long Hill Road, including an appeal of the town zoning enforcement officer's decision to revoke zoning approval for the project.
The board will also consider requests for side and rear setback variances for the same property at 112 Long Hill Road.
Jeffrey Beatty, the applicant, is seeking variances for an addition to an existing garage on property owned by Marc Rook.
Application ZBA-26-6 seeks a variance from the south side setback requirement under Section 26.11.8 of Clinton's zoning regulations and a variance from the rear setback requirement under Section 26.11.10.
The property is in the R-60 zone and is identified on town records as Assessor's Map 75, Block 52, Lot 5-1A.
The board will separately hear Beatty's appeal of a decision by the zoning enforcement officer involving the same garage addition.
Application ZBA-26-7 challenges the zoning enforcement officer's decision to revoke zoning approval for the project. The legal notice does not state why the approval was revoked or provide the applicant's grounds for appealing the decision.
The hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Rose Room of William Stanton Andrews Memorial Town Hall, 54 East Main St. Members of the public will be permitted to speak and submit written communications. Application materials, maps and correspondence are available for public inspection through the town's website.
