Clinton will launch a free concert series in 2027 through a partnership with Slate and Hearth Promotions, the Town of Clinton announced. Grammy Award-winning musician Chubby Carrier with Dikki Du and the Zydeco Krewe will headline Friday, June 4, 2027, at Peters Recreation Complex.
The Clinton Main Stage launch will follow "Mardi Gras By The Shore," a weeklong celebration inspired by Louisiana music, food and traditions. Admission is free and open to the public.
"We are excited to welcome Slate and Hearth Promotions to Clinton and to partner on an initiative that will bring people together through music and the arts," Town Manager Michelle Benivegna said. "Clinton has so much to offer, and events like these provide wonderful opportunities to showcase our community, support our local businesses, and create memorable experiences for residents and visitors alike. We look forward to seeing Clinton Main Stage become a valued addition to our community's annual events."
"We loved our time at Parmelee Farm. Reaching 1,500 attendees showed us that the community's appetite for live music is stronger than ever," the Slate and Hearth Promotions team said. "Moving to the Peters Recreation Complex gives us the space to grow while keeping our concerts 100% free to the public. We are thrilled to partner with the Town of Clinton to build a lasting home for the performing arts."
Four free fall concerts at Andrews Memorial Theater are scheduled for Friday, Sept. 24, Friday, Oct. 8, Friday, Oct. 22, and Friday, Nov. 5, 2027. Performance times were not provided, and the town will announce schedules, activities, sponsorship opportunities and logistics as plans are finalized.
