Body Found on Westbrook Beach
Police are investigating whether the person was a victim of a drowning.
State police are performing an investigation after a body washed ashore in Westbrook Wednesday morning.
State police received a call from a citizen at 7:15 a.m. regarding a body that had washed ashore. The body was found near the end of Broadway South when police arrived, according to police. The body is that of a white female.
The State Police Major Crime Squad and personnel from The Office of the State Medical Examiner were called to the scene. No identification has been made.
