Today I thought I would talk about art. Most people can dramatically change their room with art! BUT there are generally two problems. One problem is that spending money for art is usually last on the list and then it just gets put off and forgotten about. The second problem is placement. I am going to talk about art placement first.
If you look at the picture above (Better Homes and Garden) the art placement creates a LOT of interest. The best way to figure out groupings is to cut out brown paper in the shape of your artwork. Carefully, tape to the wall. This way you can get an idea of how it will look in your room. You can place them on the floor but I find it is harder to visualize it on your wall.
Remember - art helps to make your room look finished. Don't forget to use it! Next week we will look at some other helpful hints on hanging art! Have fun! j
