This week let's look at your daughters' room! I love the stripes on the wall that go around the room - what a great idea! Notice how the stripes are carried out in the rug. The colors are also carried in the bedding. If you pick out a fun rug and then pull your colors from that you can do some really interesting designs. If you note in the picture the overall theme is fairly simple.
I love the idea of a bed runner. It allows you to use a simple (and less expensive!) comforter and get interest through the material on the runner. Notice how the bed runner not only ties the colors together but adds a lot of pizzaz! If you love to sew there are some really easy runner patterns. Imagine the possiblities - instead of a solid you could use some geometric patterns - can you see fabric with circles or squares?! You could also use the fabric at the window as well - maybe taking an inexpensive roller shade and sewing (or use glue!) the fabric along the bottom of the shade. Don't forget the pillows! They are a must!
