Decorating on a Budget

I thought that this week we could start taking a look at your bathrooms!  In this age of declining home values, keeping our kitchens and bathrooms up to date really helps the value of your home!  How does your bathroom look? Is it tired and dated? Most importantly, how can you update it on a budget?!

If your budget is really tight, the first thing I want you to look at is color.  This can have a huge impact!  First, the walls - are they wallpapered? If so, take it down and paint!!  If your sink, tub, toilet are neutral go for a fun color like you see in the picture above (BHG).  If you have dated colors for your sinks, etc just go with the flow and use them  in an art deco or retro way!  Next, get some great towels to coordinate - they help make the impact.  Depending on the amount of $ you have to spend you can also consider some art but ONLY if you get pieces that fit.  It would be better to leave the walls with the vivid color if you can't do the art correctly.
