Decorating Your Home on a Budget # 5
Decorating on a Budget! Enjoy this next blog in my series! j

I want to continue with paint this week. Last time we saw how just a small amount of paint color can make a difference. But what happens if you need to paint your entire room? Again - paint is a great and inexpensive way to change the look of your room - especially if you paint it yourself!
The biggest challenge I find that people have is choosing the actual color. There are a couple of things to keep in mind. One is FLOW! This is VERY important in your kitchen, living, dining areas. Most often people are walking in and out of these areas so you need to make sure your colors go well together. Fabric helps with flow as well. I also like to pick the color from the fabric in the room. If you don't have any fabric then picking a color that you love is essential. I often suggest people think of a place they love - the beach, the mountains - and then pick a color that reminds them of that place. The blue in the walls in the picture above (http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/for-architects-and-designers/benjamin-moore-aura-interior-paint) makes me think of the soothing feeling you get when you go to the beach!
What's YOUR color?! Keep me posted - if you have questions feel free to ask! j
