September is National LIbrary Card Sign Up Month

September is National-Library Card Sign-up Month, and the Henry Carter Hull Library wants Clinton’s parents to know that a library card is the most important school supply of all. Studies show that children who read at home and use the library perform better in school and are more likely to continue to use the library as a source of lifetime learning.

National Library Card Sign-up Month encourages people to check out what is new at the library by signing up for a library card. The Henry Carter Hull Library offers much more than books-- we have DVDs, Blu-ray movies, music CDs, computers, Internet access, Wi-Fi and more. Your library is also a dynamic community center; we have ongoing book discussion groups, musical performances, story hours, and many other programs for children and adults, and someone is always on hand to help or answer a question.

Your Henry Carter Hull Library card is free of charge -- simply stop in or go to www.hchlibrary.org/about and fill out an application, bring it in and we will issue you your library card that can be used at the Henry Carter Hull Library and every other public library in the state of Connecticut.
