Burglar Stole Credit Card, Went On Shopping Spree: Clinton Police
Police say the suspect has purchased "cigarettes, chocolate sweets or frozen/prepared pizza" from multiple locations in several towns.
CLINTON, CT — The Clinton Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect in an ongoing investigation.
Police are investigating a burglary / larceny / illegal use of a credit card that occurred in Clinton on Monday, March 13 with subsequent use of stolen credit cards up until Wednesday, March 15.
The suspect (pictured) is described as a white male wearing a dark-hooded jacket and dark jeans in multiple locations including Walgreens of Branford, McDonalds of Clinton, Stop & Shop of Branford, Berkshire food Co. of Danbury, Branford Auto, Dunkin Donuts of Hartford, Walgreens of Wethersfield, FAS Mart of Durham, and Dominoes of Middletown, according to police.

Police said the suspect “opened the rear soft top of a late model soft top SUV and stole a Discover and Master credit cards from a center console compartment.”
“Suspect has purchased cigarettes, chocolate sweets or frozen/prepared pizza from the multiple locations listed above,” police said.

The suspect’s vehicle (pictured) appears to be either a Subaru or Nissan sedan, according to police.
