Clinton Community Comes Through For Holiday Toy Drive
One day after saying they were in desperate need of toys for the annual holiday drive, Clinton Police were overwhelmed with the response.

CLINTON, CT — One day after saying they were in desperate need of toys for the annual holiday drive, Clinton Police were overwhelmed by the community’s response. On Friday, Clinton Police shared a photo of a nearly empty trailer on social media and said that in previous years, the trailer was filled to capacity with toys on the day they deliver them to the social services department.

“What a difference a day makes,” police wrote on Facebook on Saturday. “From a near empty trailer yesterday evening to a loaded trailer this evening. The people of this community and the surrounding area are the BEST!!!”

“A special shout out to the families, friends and supporters associated with "The Dance Corner" of Killingworth. This evening at their dance recital at Clinton Town Hall, this group braved the winter elements and collected and donated enough toys to fill a CPD police SUV, two more CPD cruisers and another pick up truck!!! We at CPD cannot express our thanks enough! Great Job by all!!”
