Clinton Fire, Police Crews Help Boat Stuck In Shallow Water With 3 Adults, 4 Children Aboard: FD

Officials said police and volunteer fire crews assisted a boat stuck in shallow water with three adults and four children aboard in Clinton.

CLINTON, CT — Police and volunteer fire crews assisted a boat stuck in shallow water with three adults and four children aboard Tuesday in Clinton, according to the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department.

In a Facebook post, fire officials said crews responded to a report of a vessel in distress with three adults and four children on board.

When crews arrived in the area, they found a Boston Whaler had experienced engine trouble and was forced aground in shallow water, fire officials said.

Firefighters used the department's Zodiac inflatable boat to safely reach the vessel, assist the passengers and guide it out of the shallows, officials said.

The boat and its passengers were then escorted to a boat launch, officials said.

No injuries were reported.

Madison Hose Co. No. 1 crews also provided assistance, officials said.
