Clinton Man Found with More than 200 Xanax Pills, Some Laced with Heroin: West Haven Police

West Haven, CT — While emergency crews were responding to a report of a woman in distress at a condominium complex in West Haven, a Clinton man was found to be in possession of more than 200 Xanax pills and was arrested, according to West Haven Police.

Both the West Haven Police Department and Fire Department responded to Savin Park condos on Wednesday night for the female-in-distress report. Police said the woman was transported to a hospital for treatment.

However, while on the scene, police said Russell Lanziero was found to be in possession of 214 Xanax pills and 12 "Red Devils" (which police said is a slang term for Xanax laced with heroin).

Police arrested Lanziero 35, of Stony Point Road in Clinton. He was charged with obtaining drugs illegally, possession of narcotics, sale of controlled substance, and possession of control substance.

Lanziero was held on a $25,000 bond.
