Clinton Officer Awarded For Community Policing
Sergeant Jeremiah Dunn was one of 29 officers from around the state recently honored.

CLINTON, CT - Sergeant Jeremiah Dunn, a 25-year veteran of the Clinton Police Department, was awarded by the Connecticut U.S. Attorney's Office for his commitment to community policing. At a recent ceremony, the 29 recipients of the award were honored.
Dunn has served as President of the Clinton Police Benevolent Association and runs the town's Citizens Police Academy.
“Our honorees represent the very best in community policing,” said U.S. Attorney Deirdre M. Daly in a statement. “In innovative and practical ways, they have reached out to make meaningful connections with people living in our communities. We thank them for their commitment to building public trust and strengthening relationships between the police and the communities they serve."

Daly's office also noted that Dunn leads fundraising events, coordinates the annual participation in the Connecticut Special Olympics, and spearheads the department’s annual toy drive every Christmas season.
