Clinton Planning and Zoning Commission to Hold Public Hearing on Shopping Center
Clinton P&Z will hold hearings on a shopping center, landfill closure and parking regulation changes.
CLINTON, CT — The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing July 13 on three proposals, including plans for a shopping center special exception, the closure of the former town landfill and zoning changes required under a new state law.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Green Room at Town Hall.
One public hearing item is an application for a special exception to allow a shopping center at 224 East Main St. The application was submitted by Seamus Moran of H&H Engineering Associates LLC under Section 27.2.25 of the Clinton Zoning Regulations.

Commission members will also consider commission-sponsored amendments to the town's zoning map and zoning regulations to establish a new Parking Management District and Parking Needs Assessment requirements.
A third application seeks site plan approval for the capping and closure of the former Clinton landfill at 0 Old Nod Road. Loureiro Engineering Associates Inc. submitted the application under the town's zoning regulations governing landfill projects.

Residents will have an opportunity to comment on all three proposals during the public hearing. Application materials and related correspondence are available for public review on the Town of Clinton's website.
