Clinton Rotary Club's Feb 2018 Student of the Month, Juan Avila

The Clinton Rotary Club recently celebrated Morgan School Senior, Juan Avila, as its February 2018 Student of the Month. Per his nominating teacher, Jessica Mularski, Juan is extremely involved in both his school and community. He was the Captain of the Morgan School’s Championship soccer team for three years. He is also active in indoor track. Committed to the youth of Clinton, Juan volunteers at (BEST) Brad English Soccer Training Camps and Clinton Youth Soccer Program. He continues his community service as a member of the Husky Leaders and a member of the National Technical Honor Society. He frequently works with his Principal, Keri Hagness, and Morgan teachers to help create videos, commercials and other exciting forms of media to better the school community. Besides helping his school and athletic communities, Juan volunteers at Grace Fellowship Church where he runs the Audio/Visual equipment. He is also an active member of the church’s youth group. Juan Avila truly exemplifies Rotary International’s motto of “Service Above Self.”
