Clinton Rotary Club's Morgan School October 2016 Student of the Month
Autumn Johnson is Clinton Rotary Club's Morgan School Student of the Month, October 2016

Per Nominating Teacher, Principal Keri Hagness: Autumn is passionate about helping others and in turn, those experiences have helped to transform her into a school leader and positive role model for her peers.
In the time that Autumn has been at Morgan, she has volunteered her time both in and out of school. Whether helping incoming students transition to high school during Morgan’s summer STEP program, spending her evenings planning out the details for Morgan REACT’s Haunted Hallways, or volunteering to spend her lunch time peer mentoring a student with disabilities, Autumn is always willing to take time out of her day to assist others.
This past summer, Autumn attended the Youth to Youth International Conference at Bryant University in Providence, RI. Taking the lead from several of her peers from other states, Autumn became energized and more aware of her leadership potential during the conference. She was instrumental in brainstorming several ideas and concepts to bring back to Morgan and the town of Clinton.

Recently, Autumn spent much of her time working with other members of the Project Purple Initiative to bring awareness to drug abuse and the dangers of addiction. She spent many hours on the ground preparing the town for Chris Herren’s visit and helped other students understand the impact of his message.
Autumn Johnson truly exemplifies Rotary International’s motto of “Service Above Self”.
