Convenience Store Robbed At Gunpoint In Westbrook: State Police

Police are investigating the armed robbery, which occurred late Tuesday night. No injuries were reported.

WESTBROOK, CT — Connecticut State Police are searching for the suspect in an armed robbery of Jo Jo’s Food Mart-Valero that occurred late Tuesday night in Westbrook.

Troop F in Westbrook responded to the convenience store, located at 1309 Boston Post Road (Route 1) at about 11:35 p.m. on the report of an armed robbery.

Police said the suspect entered the store and displayed a black-colored handgun with a silver-colored barrel was displayed and demanded money from the store clerk.

After receiving the money, the suspect fled the store on foot.

Police said no firearms were discharged and no injuries reported during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6-feet tall with a thin build, with white facial hair wearing a white-colored winter type hat, an olive green colored Carhartt-type hooded coat, dark shoes possibly black and blue pants.
