Crash Closes Portion Of Route 81 In Clinton: UPDATE (Cleared)

UPDATE: Route 81 has reopened, according to police. There was no immediate word on any injuries resulting from the crash.

CLINTON, CT — A portion of Route 81 in Clinton is closed due to a motor vehicle accident, according to Clinton Police. Route 81 is closed between the area of Hurd Bridge and Rocky Ledge.

Police said there is no northbound access and southbound traffic is being diverted down Hurd Bridge.

Police say to use alternate routes if you need to travel north on Route 81.
