CT Father Hits Crossing Guard With Car, Assaults Him: Report
A Thompson father was arrested on allegations that he hit a school crossing guard with his car, then beat the man.
THOMPSON, CT — A Thompson father was arrested on allegations that he hit a crossing guard with his car, then got out of the car and beat the 71-year-old man, according to NBC CT. Jason Beshaw, 31, was arrested for third-degree assault of an elderly victim, second-degree breach of peace, second-degree reckless endangerment, and risk of injury to a child.
Beshaw was trying to bypass the traffic flow and the crossing guard, Rocky Navarro, attempted to stop the car. The car clipped Navarro's leg, then Beshaw got out of the car, hit Navarro in the face, and continued to assault him until bystanders intervened, according to NBC CT.
Navarro suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident at Mary Fisher Elementary School, The Hartford Courant reported.

Beshaw was held on $10,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday in Danielson.
