Election 2016 Results: Clinton Vote Totals for President, U.S. Senate and Local Races

CLINTON, CT — On Election Night in Clinton, town residents preferred Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump for president by a 3,493 to 3,415 vote.
Clinton earned 48.5 percent of the vote in Clinton compared to Trump’s 47.49 percent, while Gary Johnson received 176 votes, or 2.4 percent, and Jill Stein had 98 or 1.3 percent.
In the race for U.S. Senate, Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., amassed 4,320 votes on multiple lines and his opponent Dan Carter, a Republican, received 2,603 votes in Clinton.

In the 2nd Congressional race, Democratic incumbent Joe Courtney received 4,145 votes in Clinton compared to 2,646 for Republican Daria Novak.
Republican incumbent Art Linares won another term in the 33rd State Senatorial District, defeating Democratic challenger Norm Needleman and Green Party candidate Colin Bennett.

Linares received 4,081 votes in Clinton, compared to 2,838 for Needleman and 121 for Bennett.
In the 35th State House District, incumbent Republican Jesse MacLachlan won a second term with a victory over Democrat Ellen Dahlgren, Libertarian Austin Coco and Green Party candidate Ian Barron.
In Clinton, MacLachlan received 4,010 total votes, while Dahlgren earned 2,669, Coco collected 145 and Barron had 106 votes.
Democrat June Hansen received 3,405 votes and Republican Peter Giannotti received 3,346 for registrars of voters.
