February 2017 Morgan School Student of the Month

Matthew Capece is Clinton Rotary Club's Morgan School Student of the Month, February 2017

Per Nominating Morgan School Staff Member, Maureen Tranquilli, Matt is the definition of a well-rounded student. He is an excellent student, athlete, mentor, leader and a volunteer. He is someone who sets goals and achieves them and also demonstrates the ability to balance life while being able to share himself with others.

During his time at Morgan, Matt has played football (Captain his Senior Year, held the position of Vice President for the Senior Class, participated in the Morgan band, assisted with lighting for the musical productions, volunteered as a STEP leader, attended several leadership conferences, mentored students with challenges and held a part-time job – all while performing extremely well academically.

Per his teachers at Morgan, Matt epitomizes a Morgan Husky by being loyal, kind, caring, hard-working and the ultimate team player. And his positive attitude is infectious and a great asset in class. He is the kind of student that is a leader in various activities whether it’s to help a new student at Morgan or as a greeter at Morgan’s annual College Knowledge Night.
