Food Trucks Return to Clinton Crossing Outlets

Officials announce the return of food trucks and a new Food Truck Friday Series. Read details, including participating food trucks, here.

CLINTON, CT — Food trucks seem to make everything a little bit better, don’t they? The folks at Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets think so and are excited to announce the return of food trucks in April.

“We are thrilled about the return of local food trucks,” Kathleen Mones, director of marketing and business development at Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets, said in a press release. “The event offers the incredible convenience of eating delicious local food while shopping at favorite brands like American Eagle Outfitters, kate spade new york, Michael Kors, Under Armour, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH and so many more!”

Located across from the J. Crew Factory Store, guests can enjoy gourmet bites and beverages served by local food trucks. New this year, on the first Friday of every month starting in April and running through November, Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets will host a Food Truck Friday Series, sponsored by CTFoodTrucks.com. These events will include special appearances from food trucks, live entertainment, family-friendly activities and shopping at favorite retailers. Read more from the press release below:

For the first Food Truck Friday on April 6, Meriano’s Canolli Truck and Munchies will make special appearances. Meriano’s Canolli Truck is a mobile kitchen that offers an assortment of hand-filled creative flavored cannoli. Also, look out for their gluten free options.

Munchies, named one of The Best Food Trucks 2017 by Connecticut Magazine, features delicious food that is inspired by the owners Lebanese and West African upbringings. Other food trucks that will be visiting include, Captain Scott’s Lobster Truck, Food Extrovert, Bumski’s Beer and Wine Bar and many more! With cuisines ranging from Japanese to barbecue and everything in between, the whole family is sure to find a delicious meal to enjoy.

Coming straight from New London, CT, Captain Scott’s Lobster Truck is known for their hot lobster rolls. The mobile kitchen will also be offering New England and Rhode Island Chowder and homemade clam fritters. The Food Extrovert uses fresh, local ingredients to prepare exotic salads, sliders, and gourmet mac and cheese. Bumski’s Beer and Wine Bar offers a curbside service of refreshments. The menu includes craft beers and smart wines that can be paired with any gourmet meal.

Local Clinton hotspot Food & Beverage Co.’s mini and mobile version, Barbeque, offers slow smoked barbecue and craft pizza. They also feature a wide variety of Connecticut craft beers and a large selection of bourbon and whiskey. For those in the mood for Japanese, stop by Teriyaki Mania, a truck that bring Japanese infusion to Connecticut. Enjoy quick and delicious bites of traditional sushi and Japanese cuisine. Food Truck Fridays will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on the first Friday of every month through November. In the case of inclement weather, the event may pop-up the following Friday.
