A building with decades of history hosting restaurants in Clinton has been razed, according to a report.

CLINTON, CT — A Route 1 site in Clinton that has hosted several restaurants over the years has been demolished, CT Insider reported.

The building at 192 E. Main St. was built in 1945 and was razed last month. Many knew the spot as The Hungry Lion, a restaurant that opened in the 1970s.

The most recent establishment at the site was DeNovellis, which closed two years ago.
