Since being employed for the Department of Veterans Affairs, I have witnessed many truly amazing people work with more amazing people. One thing that needs to happen more than it does, is the simple act of saying "thank you for your service". It takes two seconds, but can set the tone of the entire meeting/conversation/appointment. So, next time you see a veteran, Say a simple thank you, but don't just say it, MEAN IT!
